Pornographics was an interesting project for me, me and Anthony Parlane worked from the same idea which we both came up with. We took the ideas in quite separate directions I went down a very illustrative route and Anthony went down a very graphic route
Unintentionally working this way taught me a few about how illustrators use programs like Illustrator/Photoshop as I usually use these programs for editing images I have taken or laying out pieces typography. I’m not used to tracing and colouring images that I have drawn or traced. It feels strange like I am doing it wrong or not properly but the results seem pretty good so I can’t be doing that bad. It seemed a little surreal seeing what Anthony had produced as it is not what I would expect from him. Have to admit I wish that I had been a bit more subtle with my poster. Anyway I experienced a new way of working I have actually wanted to try this way of making a poster out of curiosity to see if there is a difference in the way illustrators use the adobe suite not a tremendous difference but it just feels different.
Printing wasn’t a problem it just takes a while to come out of the printer.
As for the opening night of the exhibition I was surprised to see that many people turn up. I realize that they were mainly friends and family but it felt good to see that many people turn up for the event. I also thought it was funny to see how many peoples grandparents seemed to like the work and appreciate what we had done
